A cool couple

Friday, August 31st, 2007

For devotions this week we read a lot of testimonies from different missionareis to Africa, both from times past and modern day. Some of these testimonies are absolutely thrilling and so faith building. That’s one of the lessons I’m learning right now, to let the Lord stretch my faith and be glad when He does. It seems to happen every day, something that is out of my control, but not the Lords.

Anyway, these testimonies are awesome! There’s one couple that I have always admired, Matt and Mel in Sierra Leone. They have four (gorgeous) kids, and have faces a lot of challenges in the pioneering of Sierra Leone. I’ve never met them, though they were in Africa around the same time that I was, so I heard of them here and there. Rereading their testimonies doubled my admiration of them. Pretty hard core stuff! They’re currently touring Europe looking for a team to go back to Sierra Leone with.

Here’s a picture of them that I stole off their brother’s blog. Hope you guys don’t mind.

Praying for you guys! You can read their testimonies in Link 4 and GV 225, and probably other place like the Win the World blog.
