Sam and Maria.

When I was 15 this couple in our home met, and two weeks later she was pregnant and they were getting married. I was so amazed at the speed, I just never imagined things could move so quickly!

When I was 22 I met Sam, he was 24. When I heard he was single I was pretty sure he had to have a serious flaw. I don’t think we were interested in each other. Then all the other girls in the area left the country for a long road trip. Then he was interested in me. 10 days after we met I was pregnant. Yes. I found out a few months later, thankfully. And we got married.

I’m not sure if I’m extreemly proud of the fact that it all happened so fast, nor that I would recommend it as the smartest course of action, but it’s my special miracle. When I think of all the planning that the Lord put into bringing us together (We were both in different places and arrived in Nairobi around the same time), taking His VERY SMALL window of opportunity to create Cade, and then making it actually work out, I feel humbled. It’s given me faith for a lot of things since then because it was so obvious that the Lord was in control.

Today is our anniversary. We’ve been married for six years, we have four beautiful kids and a lot of happiness! Thank you, Honey, for all your love!
